Swim Run Swim

If you want to learn to swim, jump into the water. On dry land, no frame of mind is ever going to help you. - Bruce Lee

First, we’ll start with the right spirit and fine-tune your skills.

You’ll learn a bit about the sport of swim-run and where it came from, then we’ll help you get reacquainted with swimming or, if it’s your first time, help you learn what you need to get going. Then we’ll help you plan to hit the road running after having crawled up out of the water.

We’ll help you get your gear right and plan your adventure.

You’ll need to understand associated gear, buying, borrowing, or stealing–just kidding–borrowing is good–and we’ll help you learn to plan your adventure. Lastly, we’ll send you out to a beautiful set of lakes not too far from the Portland area and get you going on a real swim-run heart pumper.

Together, we’ll light the fire of your adventure imagination.

Now that you’ve had a taste for just a tiny bit of weird–and anybody that sees you climb out of a lake and start running will definitely think you’re weird–who knows where you’ll go next. Many of our programs have been created to give you a foundation of fitness and endurance but the end goal is really creativity and adventure. This program will help you take your newfound adventure planning skills to the next level. Save this one and then dive right in.

No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch. - From an old Speedo ad
