Santa Hat Run

Get a little silly with your Strava map.

The Santa Hat Run has been a Wy’east Wolfpack tradition since 2013— the course being the brainchild of our good friend Jason Eads! The premise of the event is to get together and spread the holiday spirit —all the while foot-traveling approx. 6 miles around NW Portland, Oregon.

Did we mention that the route draws (remember Etch-a-Sketch?) an actual Santa Hat once you upload it?!! The only “requirement” is for you to arrive in your Santa Hat, but we encourage “ugly sweaters” and extravagant Christmas garb! We’ve seen quite the array of costumes over the years, and someone once showed up in nothing but a red Speedo, his Santa Hat, and running shoes!

We'll be gathering on Saturday, December 16th at 10 am at the basketball courts at Wallace Park to kick off the festivities and begin the route!

Our Santa Hat Run is a charity event to provide resources for those in need during this holiday season, so you can get weird and feel-good at the same time. So here’s your chance to get festive, get your Santa Hat out, and kick-in towards a good cause. Also, everyone that participates has a chance to win a Wy’east Wolfpack Gift Package, and stocking stuffers!

Here's how it works!

1)  Fill out form and we'll send you “Turn-By-Turn” directions for the run.

2) Use the "Make a Donation" button below to donate to Snow Cap Community Charities, a philanthropic organization created to provide food, clothing, advocacy and other services to those in need.

3)  We will set off together to run/hike the route starting shortly after 10 a.m. After you complete the course, upload it to Strava or your app of choice to doodle the Santa Hat and make your friends laugh!

4) Tag @WyeastWolfpack #SantaHatRun on social media to be entered into the random drawing. We will announce the prize winner on Dec. 25th!

Please fill out the form below to receive turn by turn directions and to be entered in our raffle drawing.
