Seriously, ski touring and traveling efficiently—and safely!—in the mountains in winter is a truly wonderful thing and a great way to stay active, fit, and feeling good. Also, it’s a great thing to do with friends…and here in Portland we have a pretty great local resource for it, the great Wy’east (Mt. Hood). Join us and the experienced guides at Northwest School of Survival for this custom-tailored course!
Course provides expert instruction (5:1 participant to guide ratio) covering the basics of ski touring and snow safety (avalanche awareness, terrain selection, etc.) over three Saturday half-day+ sessions held on three separate weekends in winter:
Jan 26, Feb 16, and March 9.
