Willie began his journey in athletics many years ago through rock climbing, mountaineering, hiking, and backpacking and has been lucky to do those things in many special places around the globe. He expanded his repertoire in 2005 to include marathoning and ultra running and he continues to explore many modes of adventuring today, including lightweight "fast"packing, ski mountaineering, and more.
